Voxel survival · Multiplayer · Medieval empire building
Break ground.
Build an empire.
Voxel-Village is a survival sandbox where mining and crafting are just the first chapter. Recruit villagers, lay out roads and farms, and grow a village into a medieval empire — with friends, on a world built to hold it.
Build it piece by piece
v0.0.8 is the first Voxel-Village snapshot you can download, for Windows and Linux. The work is in building: plank, stone and log houses go up piece by piece, with slate and plank roofs, real stairs, doors, palisades and mortared walls. The screenshots below are from the snapshot.
- 1.5xlarger builds

Coming soon — 10 features in development
Features coming soon
Every feature below started as a custom mod I built for Minecraft. Modding is what hooked me on this kind of game in the first place — and eventually it's what convinced me to stop patching someone else's world and build one of my own. That's Voxel-Village. These are the ideas I'm bringing over first, built in from day one instead of bolted on.
1 Minecart Upgrades Move ore, goods, and colonists faster across your rail network.
1.1 Rail tiers

4 Recruitment System The pipeline that feeds every civilization station.

5.2 Flight

6 Performance & Optimization The engine work that keeps large worlds smooth.

- 6.1.1 Faster chunk generation
- 6.1.2 Faster chunk loading
6.2 World processing

7 Blackpowder Weapons Arm your settlement, from sidearms to siege.
7.1 Muskets
- 7.1.1 Pistol
- 7.1.2 Rifle, with bayonet
- 7.1.3 Blunderbuss
- 7.2 Cannon
- 7.3 Iron grenade
8 Black Powder A weaker gunpowder variant that fuels the weapons above.
Crafted early and used to prime muskets, cannons, and grenades — a deliberately weaker charge than refined gunpowder, so early blackpowder weapons stay balanced against later-tier gear.
9 Water Pipes Automate item movement through your base.
A network of pipes that moves items between storage, stations, and villagers using water flow — no cart, no courier.
10 Advanced Zombies Night that hunts back — hordes that dig through walls and pick up what you drop.
10.1 Hording
- 10.1.1 Zombies group into hordes that share one target
- 10.1.2 Horde size scales with night count, difficulty, and settlement size
- 10.1.3 A breach or a scream pulls nearby hordes toward the same wall
10.2 Block breaking
- 10.2.1 Zombies mine through walls instead of milling around them
- 10.2.2 Break time scales with block hardness — dirt and wood fall fast, stone holds
- 10.2.3 Pathfinding picks the weakest route in, so wall material is a real defense choice
10.3 Item using
- 10.3.1 Pick up dropped tools, weapons, and armor from the ground
- 10.3.2 Equipped gear changes their damage, reach, and dig speed
- 10.3.3 Armor carries over on death — what you lose, the horde keeps
10.4 Variants
- 10.4.1 Runner — fast and fragile, finds the gap first
- 10.4.2 Sapper — goes for doors, supports, and light sources
- 10.4.3 Brute — slow and heavy, the one that gets through stone
